Teaching Truth
One of the strange things about our cultural moment is that people have never had more access to information, and yet many seem less certain than ever about what is actually true.
We carry around in our pockets devices that can answer nearly any question in seconds. But for all our access to information, there is still deep confusion about the biggest questions in life. Questions like: Who am I? Why am I here? What is right and wrong? What is truth?
And our culture keeps giving us conflicting answers. One voice says, “Follow your heart.” Another says, “Live your truth.” Another says, “Truth is whatever feels authentic to you.” That sounds liberating – until you realize that a world where everyone invents their own truth becomes a world where no one is really sure what truth is.
