He is Risen!

On Easter, Christians get together and make a big deal out of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not just because we’re celebrating a historical event, but we are celebrating that this is the day that death died. We make a big deal out of that.

Because if Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, then He is still in the grave and He has no power at all to change anybody’s life. But the Bible says that He was delivered up for our offenses and that He was raised for our justification. His resurrection is what made us right with God, because He went to the cross to atone for our sins and then He conquered death. So, we gather to celebrate Jesus!

In Matthew 28, we have the story of that resurrection. This account is the core of everything we as Christians believe. It is the very heart of the Gospel. It is central to our faith. Over 300 verses in the New Testament speak of the resurrection. The center of apostolic preaching in the New Testament was the resurrection, because it is the resurrection of Jesus Christ that addresses our greatest problem – death – and gives us hope for the future.

Please find Matthew 28:1-10 and let's celebrate our Risen Savior!
