You Can Be an Inviter
Mar 1, 2026 • Pastor Dan Spencer
In this session, we are going to learn from Luke Chapter 5 about a man named Levi. In the Gospel Levi would later write, he refers to himself as Matthew, which means “gift of God”. This was probably a nickname Jesus had given him.
As Levi was doing his work one day, Jesus walked up to him and called him to be a disciple. And Levi left everything and followed Him. But what we will focus on is what Levi did next: he threw a dinner party! He invited what seems like his whole network of tax collectors and social outcasts – all so they could meet Jesus.
As we look at that, we will see we can do exactly what Levi did. You can be an inviter! Please find Luke 5:27-32 and let's look at 5 facts about being inviters.
