Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

First Baptist Sevierville is committed to helping people move from their point of need to hope in Christ with our gospel partners in our community, our country, and the world.
Our strategy is to partner with Gospel workers and church planters around the globe.

Upcoming events

Alaska Mission Project Interest Meeting

The project is March 3-10, 2022. The interest meeting is 6 p.m. on Monday November 15 in the FBC parlor.
PLEASE NOTE: The Iditarod Race committee has announced that they will require proof of full COVID vaccination for all volunteers by the new year. So, if you plan to serve but have not yet been vaccinated, talk to your doctor/pharmacist this week and get started immediately. Don’t wait until the interest meeting. Timing is everything as you may require two shots separated by several weeks.

2022 Missions Interest Meeting

Find out about 2022 FBC missions opportunities at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday January 16 in the Family Life Center.

Next Missions Basic Training

All FBC members who serve on a mission team must first complete this training. If you’ve taken it before, then you don’t need to take it again. Sunday January 23 - 12:30-3:30 – Church Parlor.

Hot Meals For Hungry Hearts serves a hot meal to neighbors in need every Monday starting at 4:00 p.m.

Helping Hands gives groceries and the Gospel to our neighbors in need on Wednesdays beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Life Groups and special teams go into our community to meet practical needs and share the good news of Jesus Christ. We pick up trash, build handicap ramps, and find ways to love our neighbors like Jesus does.

Join us every April as we go to Newfound Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to bless Appalachian Trail hikers and share the gospel with them.
Cleveland, Ohio
We are thrilled to be serving with church planter Chong Xu and All Points Church to reach the Chinese community in Cleveland.

Clarksdale, Mississippi
For years, our youth have been serving in Clarksdale and have seen many come to faith in Christ. Our church is honored to join with gospel partners on the ground there to win the lost and strengthen the church.

Denver, Colorado
First Baptist loves partnering with Calvary Wellspring Church in Aurora and its church plants to reach the Denver area with the Good News.   https://www.wellspring.thecalvary.org/

We work with GraceWorks Alaska to support Alaskan churches and church plants through various ministries like working the Iditarod Sled Dog Race and doing VBS in city parks.  http://www.graceworksak.com/

Disaster Relief
We send teams to assess damage, cut trees, serve food, offer hot showers and laundry, and much more in the wake of a disaster like a hurricane, tornado, or flooding. We offer people in crisis the hope they can have in Jesus Christ.  https://tndisasterrelief.org/

We partner with IMB personnel to support national churches through hands-on mission outreach.
We partner with First Baptist Santa Cruz in Rio de Jainero to help plant churches among the unreached.

We partner with Cyndy Waters and Orbit Village Project (www.orbitvillage.org.) ministering to orphaned and vulnerable children and planting churches.

Central Asia
We partner with a non-profit organization in a majority-Muslim country to advance the gospel through sports and English teaching and other avenues.

Middle East
We serve with a non-profit organization in the Middle East to strengthen gospel work through construction on sports facilities and other buildings.

We partner with JPA Ministries to train pastors, start new churches and spread the gospel.  Ministry may include children's work, evangelism, construction and medical work.
